Flexible Metal Detector Test Wands

Flexible test wands carry the same certified spheres as the rigid range, but in a carrier that bends. That makes it possible to place the test piece at the centre of the aperture, where detector sensitivity is lowest, or to feed it through a pipeline or free-fall chute. Because a sphere held against the housing wall is often detected at a smaller size than one travelling through the product, the flexible format is what gives an honest sensitivity figure on pumped and gravity systems. Available in ferrous, non-ferrous, SS304 and SS316, 1.0 mm to 12.0 mm. For belt and tunnel detectors, the rigid test wands are usually the faster option.
